An annual awards celebrating the best of the East of England’s energy sector has extended its deadline for entries.

The East of England Energy Group (EEEGR) awards will be held at Dunston Hall near Norwich on Thursday, September 14. It will showcase the industry’s top companies, employees, ideas and technologies, reflecting the diversity of businesses in the East and the challenges they face as the industry shifts towards renewables and carbon reduction.

This year’s categories reflect EEEGR’s special interest groups, whose fields of work are based around the sector’s current hot topics.

EEEGR chief executive Simon Gray said: “We had an exciting field of entries last year and are hoping for another bumper crop this year to reflect all the brilliant work going on behind the scenes in our sector.”

The deadline for entries (EEEGR members only) has been extended until 5pm on Monday, August 28.
