Organisers of an energy sector conference are hoping goodwill will help them bring even more people to the rescheduled event after the previous attempt fell victim to the Beast from the East.

SNS2018 will now be held on May 16 and 17 at the Norfolk Showground with hopes that most, if not all, of the original exhibitors and speakers will be able to attend.

Simon Gray, chief executive of the East of England Energy Group, said: “I am hoping we will be able to increase the number of attendees.

“There is a lot of good will that has come from it and when we had to cancel it a lot of people felt sorry for us and there were a lot of nice messages which is why we decided to try again.”

Those who cannot make the rescheduled event may opt out by March 31 for a refund and Mr Gray said there was a waiting list of exhibitors ready to step in as there had been more interest than spaces.
