A tech trail aimed at helping youngsters find out about opportunities in the industry has received a double pat on the back.

DigitalCity created a business trail across Norwich in February and now the scheme has been named on the Digital Leaders 100 list. It will vie for the digital skills or inclusion initiative of the year award.

The finalists in each category will compete in a public vote to be crowned the overall winner.

The project, which was founded by Kieran Miles, has also been nominated for the digital skills category at the Tech4Good awards.

DigitalCity was designed to promote the range of jobs in the digital sector by asking members of the public to follow an inter-active trail on their smartphones.

Norwich firm Prison Voicemail, which helps prisoners stay in touch with their families, has also been named in the Digital Leaders list, in the mobile innovation of the year category.
