Visitors to Cromer will know it for the sandy beaches, the fish and chips, the ice cream, and of course the pier.

But as the town gears up ahead of their busy summer season, the Cromer Chamber of Trade and Business are planning ahead to make sure visitors return all year round.

The Cromer 365 campaign will be launched at the Royal Norfolk Show, and will be supplying visitors to their stall with leaflets filled with special Cromer offers.

Gary Dickenson is the president of the Chamber of Trade and Business, he said: “We’re hoping we will see a greater footfall out of season as well as in season, which will be good for business.

“Because there’s an increasing amount of people staying in the UK for their holidays there’s been a lot of work regionally in north Norfolk for tourists, but we want Cromer to be the destination that they choose.”

Mr Dickenson, who has been the president of the chamber for 15 months now, continued: “We want people to know there’s lots on offer all year round, that it’s not just all about the beach, so we named the campaign Cromer 365 to demonstrate that there’s something to do 365 days a year.”

The leaflet will not only include offers of reduced pier tickets and promotional food and drinks, but will also feature a ‘20 Things To Do’ in Cromer list.

Mr Dickenson said: “This idea started last year, when the town council had a stall at the show to promote the town. It was so well received that when I got involved we discussed whether we wanted to do it again and decided we definitely did, but we wanted to go bigger and better.”

“Holt has a stall at the Royal Norfolk Show but it features shops from the area selling their products in a marquee. Because we were in a stand we got chatting to people who used to come to Cromer as a child and talking about it stirred up emotion in them.”

You can catch up with the Cromer 365 team at the Royal Norfolk Show on June 28 and 29. For more information, visit the show’s website.
