A business group from Norwich was on show for the wider community to see during a city-wide event.

The Ber Street Hub, set up in January 2017 to make the area a “destination” for shoppers, built its own float for the Lord Mayor’s Procession which wound its way through Norwich city centre on Saturday evening.

The group were offered a free lorry for the day by 1st Available Freight in Wymondham and chose a circus theme for their float – a homage to 19th century circus entrepreneur Pablo Fanque, who lived on Ber Street.

Staff from 14 businesses from the Ber Street Hub were aboard the float, for which Sarah Garrett, branch manager at Stevensons Schoolwear, took the role of head designer. Ress Lenton, managing director at Dynamic Fitness, who set up the hub, said: “It was an incredible experience and a really strong show of the local business community working together to build something spectacular.”
