A drag queen with an international following is set to appear at a Great Yarmouth bar as it celebrates its first anniversary.

Charlie Hides, best known for his role as a contestant on RuPaul's Drag Race, has garnered some 20m hits via his YouTube channel.

The actor and impersonator will appear at Quay Pride in South Quay on Friday (September 29).

Justin Margetts, owner, said: 'Bringing Charlie Hides to our venue just shows the calibre of entertainment we provide in the community. We have quickly become recognised as one of the leading bars in East Anglia which was highlighted by the bar winning our first award, Gayweekends.com User's Choice Award 2017. We've been determined to bring something new and fresh to the town and it's bringing huge acts like Charlie Hides that will keep Quay Pride a front runner in the cabaret scene. We are celebrating our 1st birthday next month and look forward to some important developments as the bar continues to grow'.

The event is ticket-only and a few limited tickets are still available from the bar.
