The Loss of Storytelling is an exhibition by artist Serena Katt being held at Diss Corn Hall Gallery from August 8 to September 1.

Educated at Norwich University College of the Arts, Serena's interests include the fragile and amorphous relationship that individuals and nations have with the past. Within her work, she explores past events as a means of making sense of the present, asking: 'How did we get here, politically, emotionally and intellectually?'

In recent years, Serena has contemplated her German heritage, fascinated by the way in which Germany erased its history and stories to move into a successful future.

The exhibition will show examples of printing, painting and a combination of mixed media, giving voice to some of these forgotten stories, hoping to shed some light on the dark past. Open 11am-4pm, Mon-Fri. Free Entry.

An evening viewing with the artist will take place on Wednesday, August 8, 6pm-7.45pm.
