Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Folk in a Field Festival, in a woodland clearing on the West Acre estate, a diverse mix of performers from the acoustic, folk and roots music scene. Headliners Nepomuk and Creeds Cross. Also craft demonstrations and locally produced food. www.folkinafield.co.uk.

Saturday - Beetley, Friends of St Mary's School summer fayre, 12pm to 3pm, games, races, stalls, bouncy castle, tug-of-war, refreshments.

Saturday - Dereham, King's Park pre-school summer fete, 11.30pm to 3.30pm, toy sale, stalls, bouncy castle, games, face painting, refreshments.

Saturday - East Lexham midsummer quiz, 7pm for a 7.30pm start, on the play area at East Lexham. Tickets £7 per person, which includes an item from the BBQ. Bring your own drinks and nibbles. Maximum teams of six, contact Emma Barratt on (01328) 700652 or Carol Hood on (01328) 700964, or come on the night. It is held outside in a marquee, so please note the weather on the day. All monies raised will go directly to helping the annual maintenance of the play area.

Sunday - Mileham open gardens, 11am to 4pm, 12 varied open gardens, large and small, established and new, refreshments and maps in the Village Hall, £3 per person, proceeds to the Village Hall.
