Whether it is music, fetes or stories, there is something for everyone in the region this weekend. Here is a selection of 10 ideas to keep you entertained.

Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday - Dereham Blues Festival, launches with Andy Fairweather Low concert at Memorial Hall, then free music all weekend in more than a dozen different venues across the town, www.derehambluesfestival.org.uk

Saturday - Darby's Music Festival in aid of Help4Heroes, at Darby's in Swanton Morley, featuring The Lee Vasey Band and Kingz of Leon, Time Machine, Killer Tomatoes, Buster James, Agent Orange, Floating Greyhounds, children's games and activities, refreshments. Gates open 12pm. Early bird tickets £10, standard ticket £12.50, on gate £15, children under five free.

Saturday - Bylaugh church fete, from 2.30pm at Park Farm, Bylaugh, stalls, games, barbecue, raffle, teas and more

Saturday - Friends of Shipdham school summer fete, at Thomas Bullock Academy, 12pm to 3pm, competitions include best decorated welly and fancy dress, raffle, bouncy castles, refreshments. Arena displays and entertainment by Busy Bodies dancers, Shipdham School choir and bands and Maisie and Gabby singers. Saturday - Binham Priory, picnic2jazz, in the ancient ruins accompanied by music from The Pilgrim Jazz Band, 5pm to 8pm. Free car parking. Free entry for children. Adult tickets from The Chequers Inn, 01328 830297, £13 at the gate.

Saturday - Guestwick Village Hall Fete & Fun Dog Show, with craft stalls, activities, a collectors' corner, games, raffle, tombola and more. Refreshments, cakes and barbecue. Local real ale and a Pimm's stand, dog show from 12noon (contact Christine Goldspink on 01362 684490 for details), fete from 2pm -4pm. Lee Vasey Band from 4pm.

Sunday - Gressenhall Farm & Workhouse Story Festival, Strange Fascination Theatre Company will perform an open air production of Alice in Wonderland at 11am and 3pm, a family friendly extravaganza of puppetry, audience participation, singalongs and zany characters. Also stories written and performed by author Isabelle King, inspired by museum objects within the Norfolk Collections Centre.

Sunday - Dereham Otters summer fete at Swanton Morley village hall, from 11am onwards, archery, gunge the coach, pony rides, cave simulator, assault course, games, barbecue, refreshments, live music, fun dog show, free entry.

Sunday - Yaxham Primary School summer fete, 12pm to 3pm, craft stalls, bouncy castle, raffle, tombola, refreshments, live band
