The Dad's Army film is set for its London premiere tonight and although the film was shot in Bridlington, the original TV series was filmed in Thetford.

Dad's Army is not the only series to be filmed in Norfolk, the county has been a popular choice for hit Hollywood films and successful TV shows. Here we look at 10 other films and TV series that were shot in Norfolk.

1. Die Another Day (2002)

You wouldn't usually associate James Bond with Norfolk but the film makers for Die Another Day thought the fields at Burnham Deepdale, near King's Lynn, were an ideal substitute for North Korean paddy fields. A 35-strong crew descended on Deepdale Farm, along with a Lamborghini sports car, and shot scenes for a dramatic sequence near the end of the movie starring Pierce Brosnan.

2. Eastenders (1998)

In the summer of 1998, the East End boys and girls came to the county for a budget break on the Broads – eight cast members and 50 crew members made the journey to Norfolk for a week to film three episodes with Horning and Ludham Bridge Stores used as filming locations.

3. Stardust (2007)

The Briton's Arms in Elm Hill was transformed into 'The Slaughtered Prince' for the fantasy film starring Claire Danes. Extra thatched awning was added along with unique paintwork. The rest of Elm Hill also featured as a street scene.

4. Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)

The second film in the hit franchise used the University of East Anglia's Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts to film scenes for the action movie. Stars including Robert Downey Jr and Chris Evans touched down in Norwich for filming, much to the delight of many fans.

5. Kingdom (2007-2009)

The ITV series starring Norfolk's very own Stephen Fry was predominantly shot in Swaffham which doubled as the fictional town Market Shipborough. The 18th century Buttercross and Oakleigh House was used as Fry's office and The Greyhound pub in the town was transformed to become The Startled Duck.

6. Shakespeare In Love (1999)

This romantic comedy that won seven Oscar awards, including Best Picture, used Holkham Beach for the famous final scene with Gwyneth Paltrow. The actress can be seen walking alone along the beach as the final credits begin to appear.

7. Atonement (2007)

Streets in Walpole, near King's Lynn, were transformed into a World War II battlefield to recreate scenes of a massacre at Dunkirk. The film starred James McAvoy and Keira Knightley and was based on the book by ex-UEA Creative Writing student Ian McEwan.

8. 'Allo 'Allo! (1982-1992)

Lynford Hall in Mundford provides the set for Rene's cafe in Nouvion in the much-loved BBC drama. Denver Windmill also featured in the series - as did the railway bridge at Briston and Beeston Church.

9. Tulip Fever (2016)

Set for release later this year, this period drama set in 17th century Amsterdam and starring Judi Dench and Cara Delevingne, shot scenes at Norwich Cathedral with the cloisters transformed for filming. Children from local drama groups were used as extras in the film and even got to travel to Pinewood Studios to shoot extra scenes.

10. Keeping Up Appearances (1990-1995)

You will probably have visited it plenty of times over the years but did you know an episode of the BBC sitcom was filmed at Great Yarmouth's Pleasure Beach? In the episode Hyacinth volunteers to help with an old folks' outing to the coast, organised by the vicar.
