Battle recommences in the East Anglian Premier League tomorrow as Swardeston begin their quest for an incredible sixth title in succession.

The south Norfolk side continued their local dominance when topping the EAPL table for a fifth season on the spin, as part of a marvellous campaign which saw them win four trophies.

The Natwest Club T20 national tournament, Carter Cup and EAPL T20 title were all won, with a fantastic run to another national final in the Royal London Club Championship and reaching the final of the Norfolk T20.

The champions start their campaign with a home Norfolk derby as they welcome Horsford to The Common tomorrow.

Ryan Findley's first season as Horsford captain finished in 11th place, just one position and 23 points above rock-bottom Woolpit – who have been replaced by Mildenhall – thanks to three wins in their last four games.

Great Witchingham finished third from bottom and have brought in Mike Jones from Norfolk Alliance champions Brooke during the off-season to try and get back on track.

The Australian has joined as director of cricket after Brooke turned down a place in the promotion play-offs and also joins the Witches as vice-captain. Sam Arthurton's team travel to Bury St Edmunds, the team that finished one place above them in the standings last year.

Norwich finished fourth last season in a big improvement on flirting with relegation in 2015, with Australian all-rounder Will O'Donnell among the league's top batsmen, scoring 674 runs in 21 games. O'Donnell has returned for the season, with Ashley Watson's team travelling to Frinton-on-Sea for their opener.

Vauxhall Mallards make the trip to new boys Mildenhall having finished fifth last season, with Ali Shearer taking over the captaincy from Paul Bradshaw.

Rules changes mean the first five and last six matches will be 50-over games, with the middle 11 the traditional 120 overs.
