After a convincing league win against a spirited Romford & Gidea Park last week, Norwich switch their focus to the RFU Intermediate Cup tomorrow, with a home match against Chiswick (1.30pm).

Having been handed a walk-over by Harlow in the first round Norwich will begin their campaign against a side who play in London 2NW.

They currently lie fifth in the table with six wins and three defeats to their name - an identical record to their hosts in London 2NE.

Norwich are taking the opportunity to rest a couple of injured players, Phil Buckley and Paul Micklethwaite, plus an uninjured Si Darby.

Theo Elliott and Mike Lawton are available and will play at 15 and 12 respectively, with Conan Hoey returning to the wing.

Nathan Wilson returns from injury to the second row and Ryan Bigland and Josh Wilson are also back in the squad.

The coaches are set to give some up-and-coming players a chance to shine against unfamiliar opposition.

Coach Jonny O'Brien said: 'It was a very pleasing performance last week. We were more clinical than previous weeks and played a nice brand of rugby. I'm excited about this week's game as there are a number of players who have worked hard in training and played well for the Lions week in, week out who deserve their place in the squad.'

Richie Ruddock gets his first start at six with young Cameron Horide and George Ainge in the squad for the first time.

Director of Rugby David Everitt added: 'It really is pleasing to be including two 18-year-olds who have come right through our mini and youth systems and have earned the right to be in the squad.

'Now we need to build on the form of last week to show our true potential.'

The Lions travel to Lowestoft & Yarmouth for a Norfolk Bowl cup game.

Four London Three Eastern Counties sides are involved in the second round of the Senior Vase tomorrow and the draw has ensured two will progress. Leaders Southwold are at home to Wisbech while West Norfolk entertain Thetford, who were the only one of the quartet to play in the opening round.
