Neil Adams is a man known to Norwich City fans of all generations – and now he is the man that every City fan is hoping has got the magic touch they crave.
Adams fired himself into the limelight last season as manager of the City Under-18s side which won the FA Youth Cup.
This evening he has been appointed as the club's first-team manager, after the Carrow Road board decided to sack Chris Hughton and his managerial team.
Can he now completely eclipse that achievement and inspire the despondent City squad to a huge win at Fulham next Saturday?
Former Norwich boss Glenn Roeder certainly didn't think so during the 2007/08 season, when Adams was sacked as the club's under-14s coach.

Adams, in his role as co-commentator for BBC Radio Norfolk, had been critical of Roeder's treatment of club legend Darren Huckerby.
Roeder said: 'It is easy being a manager when you are one of 25,000 sitting in the stand or if you are an ex-player who is now working for the media who will never manage anything better than an under-10 team, thinking he knows best - and you know what I'm talking about, and I will deal with that, trust me. I'm a nice bloke, but not always.'
But now Adams has the chance to well and truly prove the unpopular former City boss wrong, by lifting the club's under-performing squad to secure Premier League safety.
The 48-year-old played for both Everton and Oldham before joining the Canaries in February 1994 and going on to score 30 goals in 206 games, before rejoining Oldham in the summer of 1999.
He was an expert penalty taker and a popular creative midfielder.
