Two unbeaten records will be on the line at Carrow Road on Saturday and Joe Ledley has warned Norwich City about Derby County’s Premier League quality.

The Rams are ninth in the Championship table, four points and three places worse off than Daniel Farke’s sixth-placed Canaries.

After an inconsistent start to the campaign Gary Rowett’s team have followed up three draws with 2-0 home wins over Nottingham Forest and Sheffield Wednesday.

Integral to those victories has been the flourishing midfield partnership of Wales international Ledley and former Tottenham ace Tom Huddlestone.

“Having Tom in midfield helps me and gives me the license to get forward a bit more,” Ledley said. “I’m sure in the games we have coming up that I will have more of an opportunity to add some goals.

“We have got a good partnership in the middle of the park – I have played against him a few times in the Premier League and he’s a quality player.

“Saying that, the whole team, in my eyes, is Premier League quality.”

Although Derby are unbeaten in five games, City haven’t been beaten in any of their last eight league games, including a 1-0 win over arch rivals Ipswich last weekend.

Ledley is relishing the prospect of another game as he establishes himself in the Derby team, following a belated start to the season, signing on a free transfer in September having been released by Crystal Palace at the end of last season. After scoring one goal in his first four games, the 30-year-old is keen to get as much game time as possible.

“I’ve settled in really well,” he continued, speaking to RamsTV. “Credit to the manager, because he has put me in from the first game and it’s been good to just be out there playing football after these last few months.

“It’s a pleasure to be here and hopefully I can keep this going. It’s been non-stop this past month with football. I’ve been involved in the international games as well so I’m feeling really good at the moment.

“I just need to keep my form up, keep playing as many games as I can and hopefully help this club get as many points as possible. We’re on the right track, we just need to keep it going.”
