Their faces are quickly becoming synonymous with Norwich City – and now the Murphy twins have both committed to continuing their rapid development with the Canaries.
For that is the stage that the twins are at: in development, not the finished product.
However, now that Josh has followed Jacob in extending his contract through until the summer of 2021, the work to continue along the path to legend status at Carrow Road is clear.
Josh appeared to be the identical twin enjoying the growth spurt first when he broke into the first-team reckoning in style in September 2013.
He came off the bench and scored a spectacular goal in the League Cup at Watford that many City fans – especially those who have also seen him in youth and development matches – will now recognise as his trademark style.
Although many of the matches that have followed for Josh have been as a substitute, the FA Youth Cup winner's talent is clear to see within seconds of watching him play, as City boss Alex Neil knows full well.
'In the games he's played this season, Josh has shown the qualities that he does have,' Neil said.
'He's got blistering pace, he's got real athleticism and he's a goal threat in pretty much every minute of the game. Those types of players are rare and hopefully he can become a first-team regular.'
Jacob has moved ahead of Josh in the pecking order however, due to his fuller grasp of the defensive and positional parts of being a wide player – to such an extent that he has played more minutes than any other Canaries player in the Championship this season.
That is due to the twin who spent time on loan at Swindon, Southend Blackpool, Scunthorpe, Colchester and Coventry coming back looking a tougher and hungrier player.
Some of that work started for Josh during a loan at MK Dons last season but the penny still hasn't quite dropped about the need to defend.
At 21 years old though, there is plenty of time for both players to continue their development.
'I'm really happy to get this done,' Josh added, speaking to City's website. 'It's another four-and-a-half years at the club I love. I've always wanted to play in this first team and I've enjoyed every minute.'
With any luck, there will be many more of those minutes for fans to enjoy of two Norwich City legends in the making.
