Preston defender Paul Huntington was disappointed to leave Norfolk without all three points on Saturday.
North End’s stand-in skipper felt the visitors played well enough to beat Norwich City, as they built on an impressive 2-1 midweek win at Bristol City.
“The performance is the positive really,” the experienced centre-back said. “I thought we bossed the game and we’re a tad disappointed – but I’m a glass-half-full kind of guy so we’ll take the positives of that performance and look to build over the next couple of weeks.
“We’re three unbeaten now; after the International break we knuckled down, got some players back and hopefully we’ll get a few more back with a bit of luck and get some more game time into the ones coming into the fold.
“We’re pleased with the performance and the lads gave everything and there’s only so much you can do and we didn’t get what we deserved.”

It was Huntington’s powerful header from a Paul Gallagher corner in the 70th minute which allowed Tom Barkhuizen to equalise from close range for Alex Neil’s side at Carrow Road.
“I wasn’t bothered at the time if I I’m being honest,” he added of Barkhuizen getting the last touch, speaking to Preston’s website. “I just went off to celebrate – it reunited the relationship I had with Gally on the pitch where he crossed it in and I scored and I did that about 10 times in that season when we got promoted (2014/15) but it’s all about the team and nobody’s bothered who scores.
“When you consider the chances we’ve had, obviously (Alan) Browney’s done brilliantly to hit the bar and Barky’s had a header wide in the first half.
“I thought we were quite comfortable; there was just one in the first half that ricocheted in our box and sometimes you don’t know where it’s going to go. Barky’s chance right at the end that he just couldn’t get out of his feet in time but there’s only so much you can do.
“The manager’s pleased with the performance; I thought we dictated the tempo and we deserved more points-wise. The manager was positive in the dressing room by saying – away from home, we’ve bossed it really.”
