The Trawlerboys opened the scoring in the 13th minute thanks to free-kick from summer signing Ollie Humphrey. However, it was all downhill for Ady Gallagher's side after that as the Royals romped to victory thanks to goals from Kyle Baker (two), Michael Tacon and Dylan Blades.

Despite the result Lowestoft have moved to strengthen their squad with the signings of Freddie Westlake and Cruise Nyadzayo. The duo had been trialists with the Blues this summer and have done enough to convince the management team they deserve deals.

Nyadzayo will be dual registered with Wroxahm for the upcoming season meaning he will be able to play for both clubs whilst Westlake has agreed a deal subject to international clearance after coming back from playing in Cyprus.

King's Lynn Town looked in fine fettle as they eased to a 3-0 win over Stamford. Ryan Jarvis, a summer signing from Lowestoft Town, opened the scoring in the 34th minute and the Linnets doubled their advantage just before the hour mark thanks to Jair Minors' effort. Ryan Harnwell completed the scoring late on. The match also saw former England Under 18 international Tom Siddons turn out for Lynn with the 26-year-old on trial at The Walks. Siddons was the leading scorer for Sleaford last season with 19 goals from 42 appearances.
