King's Lynn rider Matthew Senter justified his scratch seeding by winning the Great Yarmouth CC's Good Friday 10 by just 10 seconds from Bradwell rider Harley Matthews, who rides for Great Yarmouth-sponsored team Dap CC.

Senter, who recently joined VeloVelocity, finished in 20:26, just nine seconds outside Gary Empson's course record.

On a chilly morning the wind helped competitors along the Waveney Valley to Bungay turn. 'Mega-fast,' said Matthews. But then came the comeuppance of a hard slog back to Homersfield.

VC Baracchi's Titch Richards took third spot in 21;09 and led the winning team, while Paul White (Diss CC) and Jane Hannah (Tri-Harder) took the handicap awards.

Riders in Sunday's Wolsey Road Club 25, also on the Waveney Valley course, were exposed to a 'horrible' head/crosswind on the final leg, which did not stop Senter winning in 53:27, nearly three minutes up on Andre Dyason.
