The young woman who died at a Great Yarmouth home has been named as Hannah Williamson, 21, of Freethorpe.

Miss Williamson died at Marlborough Terrace on Friday, with police treating the death as unexplained.

A man, aged in his 30s, was arrested in connection with the incident on Friday and still remains in police custody.

The family of Miss Williamson issued the tribute statement through the police this afternoon.

It said: 'Hannah was a beautiful young woman inside and out. She loved life and was always full of fun. Above everything Hannah adored her animals. We are left devastated by the news of her death and would appreciate our privacy at this very difficult time.'

Floral tributes and a photograph of Miss Williamson were also left by the side of the home by friends.

Some of the moving tributes read 'RIP Princess will always miss you', 'That beautiful smile will always be in our memories', 'The world is a less sparkly place' and 'You were so loved by everyone you met in your life'.

A Facebook tribute to her said: 'Oh sweetheart, I was so sorry to hear this. Although I only met you a couple of times. I'm going to miss your furry friend posts. My thoughts are with your family, at this horrible time.'

This evening at least one forensic officer was at the property and two police community support officers were guarding the property.

Police were called to the property in Marlborough Terrace at 9.30am on Friday following reports of a collapsed female.

Miss Williamson died at the scene.

Police said a post mortem examination into the cause of death has proved inconclusive and further tests are due to be carried out.

Officers are treating the death as unexplained at this stage and the address remains sealed off while enquiries continue.
