North Norfolk looked set to grind to a halt today as more snow arrived - and the district braced itself for heavy showers later today.

After a brief lull yesterday, when most schools were open, this morning most headteachers looked at the conditions and the forecast and decided to close their doors.

The majority of the A roads are passable with care at the moment, but minor roads are becoming more treacherous as the conditions deteriorate.

There were reports of 10cm of fresh snow at Southrepps and other villages.

Bus services are set to be disrupted, with the major operators planning to use only main roads and passengers advised to expect delays.
