A deluge of heavy rain has brought chaos to much of the Norwich area with flash floods hitting several parts of the city and train services also affected.
Weather experts warned the lightning which came with last night's thunder storms might continue today and while there has been more thunder and lightning this afternoon its the heavy rain which has caused most of the problems.
Roads in and around Norwich are being turned into rivers with cars looking like boats in a number of areas, including Beatrice Road, off St Leonards Road.
A number of businesses have also been affected with the Surrey Tavern and Zaks in Norwich tweeting pictures of flooding while Lorraine Saunders, the owner of Dawn's New Horizon, a Sprowston-based charity shop which helps support victims of domestic violence, said her Cannerby Lane store has been flooded again - for the second time in just five weeks.
Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service are currently dealing with about 12 ongoing incidents, a number of which are believed to be flood-related.
A spokesman in the Norfolk police control room said they were dealing with a 'number of weather-related calls' although could not give details of the exact number.
The spokesman said a number of the calls received were in relation to manhole covers being displaced.
Despite heavy rain flooding the railway at Norwich, Greater Anglia is reporting that all lines are now open although there might be possible delays as a result.
