This is the moment CCTV footage shows a large marquee being ripped off the ground by severe Storm Aileen.
The 60 foot by 40 foot tent on South Green Park in Mattishall, owned by Poultec Training, was due to be host a fundraiser for King's Lynn-based Lisa Wiles Red Wellies Brain Tumour Support Fund, three days later.
Despite the damage, a last-minute marquee was found and Poultec staff 'put their hands to the pump' to clear the area and the fundraiser made £12,500.
The outdoor structure was ripped off the ground and sent flying into trees and a pond by Storm Aileen on Wednesday, September 13 at 5.30am.
Ed Bales, Poultec Training managing director, heard about the dramatic incident from a colleague.
He said: 'A hurricane-style wind went through the park and blew the marquee away. It was captured on CCTV being torn down by the storm. In less than 10 seconds the marquee was gone.'
Storm Aileen brought 60mph gusts to Norfolk which brought about travel chaos and disruption to the region as trees were felled across road and rail networks into the early hours of September 13.
At the time of the severe wind in Mattishall, tables had been set up in the marquee on South Green Park - in preparation for 200 people due to attend the Red Wellies fundraiser.
The large tent was held down by 30 metal three foot-long stakes.
'The tables ended up in the pond. The only thing left standing was half the bar. The stakes were wrenched out of the ground and on to the roof of the Poultec building. Part of the marquee was in the trees and some was in the pond. It was quite traumatic,' Mr Bales added.
He estimated the severe winds caused £12,500 worth of damage to the marquee, which was written off.
The wind also brought down two trees in neighbouring properties that morning but no-one was injured.
Mr Bales said a team of 10 Poultec staff put their hands to the pump over one day to clear the area.
He added it was business as usual for Poultec marquee events next summer.
The temporary replacement tent, supplied by Watton-based firm Weatherill Brothers, will be used for a wedding reception on Sunday, September 24.
