An online fundraising page has raised hundreds of pounds for the funeral of teenager Jordon Watson, who was killed in a crash on the A47.

Jordon, aged 19, from Lakenham, died after a car and a flatbed recovery lorry crashed near the Acle roundabout between Norwich and Great Yarmouth just after 1.30am on Saturday.

Norfolk police confirmed the teenager, who was driving the car, died at the scene.

A relative of the 19-year-old has set up a GoFundMe page to raise £1,000 for the funeral.

Nearly half the target was donated by Monday afternoon.

Donations on the GoFundMe page are as high as £100.

After the crash, firefighters from Great Yarmouth, Gorleston and Acle went to the scene, along with police officers and paramedics from the East of England Ambulance Service Trust.

Crews used cutting equipment to get the teenager out of the car and they were then taken into the care of the ambulance service.

No-one else was injured.

The crash meant the A47, including the Acle Straight, was closed between Norwich and Great Yarmouth for more than five hours.

Anyone who saw the crash, or the manner of driving of either vehicle beforehand, should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team at Norfolk police on 101.
