In an optimistic effort to boost the outlook for Norwich City, a creative illustrator has crafted a new card celebrating the work of cartoonist E H Banger.
In 1959, Mr Banger, who was often used by the Pink 'Un, drew a Norwich Canary and Norfolk Dumpling featuring the Wembley Stadium in the background with the caption 'We should have been there, bor...' after Luton knocked the Canaries out of the FA Cup in the semi-finals.
Tessa Killingbeck, 31, from Junction Road, has created a new version of this cartoon to the raise spirits of football fans and coincide with the beginning of the season.
She said: 'This is all in support of Norwich, I'm just trying to draw on that, in my style, for fun.
'I wanted to reflect the modern version of a great cartoonist.'
The animal lover, who lives with her rescue wire fox terrier Tobin, has asked that profits go to SAFE, an group that does work for all types of animals in need of help.
Tessa, who has been expanding her greeting cards company, Killing B, has depicted the Norwich Canary and Norfolk Dumpling but this time with Carrow Road in the background and the Canary and Dumpling walking up a yellow and green brick road.
In support of the Canaries, the caption is 'We'll be there again, bor...', in an aspiration to get back in the Premier League.
The image on the cards is on sale in Notcutts on Daniels Road, Fabulous Frames on Upper St Giles and Brambles on Exchange Street with some of Tessa's pictures also featured in the window of Thorns DIY shop on Exchange Street.
