Students from the Douglas Bader school helped plant 100 beech trees at the former RAF Coltishall memorial garden at Badersfield.
The event was organised by the Spirit of Coltishall Association , which took over the custodianship of the garden, which is next to the school, last November.
SoCA chairman Dave Welsh said: 'We planted the trees to extend the existing hedge to the roadside, with 50 on each side. It's a lovely, quiet place.'
Rachel Thornberry, the school's primary headteacher, said: 'Kids get a lot of out of it. It forges links between the school and the local community. 'And it involves them in projects that they can be an ongoing part of. The children will be able to tend the plants and water them.
'We attend the war memorial service each year and secondary pupils also serve at the local, monthly community lunches, at the church/ community centre.'
SoCA was formed to perpetuate the memory of the station, which closed in 2006.
