Norfolk is bursting with talent – and Mustard is keen to showcase as much of it as possible.

While EDP and Norwich Evening News journalists will bring you the latest news and events from Norfolk, Mustard Online wants to become a hub for creativity within the community.

That means broadcasting the best of what the audience has to offer while also encouraging you to become involved in the work that Mustard produces.

So whether it's shooting a short, interesting clip on your smartphone or pointing us in the direction of an issue that needs highlighting, Mustard wants to hear from you.

The phenomenal success of YouTube shows that there is a huge appetite for sharing videos online.

YouTube statistics revealed last year showed that:

• Sixty hours of video are uploaded every minute.

• More than 4 billion videos are viewed a day

• More than 4 billion hours of video are watched each month

• The site attracts about 800 million unique visitors every month

And Archant – the majority partner in Mustard – has already seen huge success with its content-sharing community website, iwitness24.co.uk.

Users of iwitness24 have mainly used the service to share their photos of Norfolk scenery, wildlife and news and sport events – and we are now eager to see more of your video work.

The optimum length of videos is about 90 seconds and, to begin with, Mustard is particularly interested in local sports clubs.

A mobile kit guide has been created – details of which will follow over the next few days – and training can be provided.

Mustard will also be working with partners Norwich University of the Arts and City College Norwich to offer opportunities to students taking their first steps on the media path.

Mustard is planning to develop post-graduation courses and offer internships.
