Search and rescue volunteers have joined the coastguard and police in searching a coastal resort for a missing West Norfolk man.

48-year-old Andrew Simpson was last seen by his brother on the morning of Thursday, January 24, when he left the family home for work but failed to return to Leziate, near King's Lynn, later in the evening.

He is described as white, 5ft 11in tall, of medium build with short dark hair and sometimes wears glasses.

When he was last seen it is thought he was wearing a dark blue body-warmer.

His vehicle, a silver Vauxhall Astra van, was found parked and secure on Beach Road in Snettisham on Sunday, January 27.

A police helicopter was deployed last night above the A149, beach and village at Snettisham in a bid to help officers trace Mr Simpson.

Officers have been focusing their search for Leziate resident around this area today and were joined by search and rescue volunteers and the coastguard this afternoon.

Anyone who has seen Andrew, knows of his whereabouts or thinks they have seen a man matching the description given should contact police on 101.
