Revised proposals for a new Morrisons supermarket in the north of Norwich have now been submitted.
Plans for the Goff Petroleum and former Hartwell's Garage site in Aylsham Road met with opposition in November last year, with objectors highlighting increased traffic, the number of existing supermarkets and the impact on small businesses in the area.
But George J Goff Ltd has listened to feedback from Norwich City Council, English Heritage and local residents and has now finalised a scheme.
Property manager Tim Mills said: 'By reconfiguring the layout to bring the foodstore to the front of the site, introducing additional landscaping and separating delivery vehicles from customer cars, the new plans represent the best option for the site.
'We've put the revised plan on display at the old Hartwell's showroom. This is the right proposal for the right site, and I look forward to progressing through the planning system.'
Developers say the new 20,000ft store would employ up to 250 people, improve consumer choice, and revive an under-used site in Norwich.
