The 10-year-old son of a RAF serviceman presented Prince Harry with a bear as the Royal visited RAF Honington.
Sam Brown, whose father Flight Sergeant Jordan Brown has terminal brain cancer, presented the Prince with the RAF Regiment bear and flowers in front of hundreds of school children.
The Prince was visiting the Suffolk base to present a new Colour to the Regiment on behalf of the Queen.
The parade, which included the RAF Regiment Band, saw the old Colour Standard marched off before the new one was presented.
The Prince also presented the Firmin Sword of Peace to the RAF Police for their humanitarian efforts.
Graduating Gunners were able to talk to the Prince, who also spent time waving and chatting to young school children.
In what was a packed visit, the Prince also officially opened the Aidan MacCarthy Medical Treatment Facility which is a doctors surgery and dentist in addition to a rehabilitation clinic.
The Prince will later today launch a initiative by Headway Suffolk.
The charity's new brain injury card will be unveiled in Ipswich.
