The North Norfolk District Council has announced that all council owned car parks will be free on Remembrance Sunday.

The NNDC has said they will waive parking fees on November 12, as a result of the wishes expressed by the community.

Cllr Tom FitzPatrick, Leader of North Norfolk District Council, said: 'Those wishing to mark Remembrance Sunday will be welcome to use all Council car parks around the district for free.

'There will be no charges for any users on that day and there will be signs on ticket machines explaining that parking is free for the duration of the day so people parking their cars will not have to worry about finding change or overstaying their time.'

Parking charges in the NNDC car parks usually apply between 8am and 6pm, however this will not apply on November 12 and all hours of parking will be free of charge.
