North Norfolk District Council (NNDC) is holding a consultation on planning applications as it reviews its Local Validation Requirements.

A Local Validation Requirements list is a collection of supporting documents required when making a planning application to the council. The list sets out the information needed and assessments that should to be done before a plan is submitted.

The NNDC is asking for views from potential applicants, agents and the public to make sure the list is within north Norfolk community's best interests.

Sue Arnold, NNDC's cabinet member for planning and planning policy, said: 'Having the correct and appropriate information submitted with a planning application is vitally important for all those that take part in the planning process to help make sure good and speedy planning decisions are made.

'I welcome the review of the Local Validation List requirements for North Norfolk as it provides an opportunity for review of the level of information that will be required when submitting a planning application.'

The consultation process opens on Monday April 3, and closes on Monday May 29.
