Temporary traffic lights have been removed from the new roundabout on the A140 between Norwich and Cromer but the road next to the new filling station remains closed.
One of the busiest roads in Aylsham is expected to remain closed for another month while work continues on the town's new filling station.
Norfolk County Council this week confirmed 'work is progressing well' at the crossroads of the A140 Burgh Road junction, with the new roundabout now in place.
The temporary traffic lights which had held up motorists have now been removed and Burgh Road (east) has reopened.
But Burgh Road (west) is expected to remain shut until May 26 to allow for the construction of the new BP Garage.
A new shared footway and drainage work alongside the new roundabout is due to be completed by April 21.
A spokesperson for the local authority said: 'All of the work is being funded by developers. The County Council apologises for any inconvenience this work may cause.'
'Businesses Open as Usual' signs will remain in place throughout the construction period and diversions will remain in place.
