The heavy downpours and waterlogged ground didn't stop the fun at the annual Hilgay Raft Race.
Fourteen home-made rafts were launched onto the River Wissey yesterday and were all decked out in themes including Postman Pat and the A-Team.
Out of the eight heats, the Ditzy Daisies were the winning team and there were plenty of the traditional flour bombs thrown at the competitors.
Organiser Ali Dent, said: 'It's been good although this is the wettest one we have had.
'I used to take part in it myself but I still enjoy it and I am helping with the barbecue today.'
Later on Mr Dent was in for a surprise as he was presented with the prestigious the Paul Harris Fellow Award by resident raft race commentator Wally Webb.
The Downham Market Rotary Club nominated Mr Dent for the award for all his hard work in the community and the thousands of pounds he has raised for charities.
Mr Dent, who is also a butcher in Hilgay said: 'I enjoy helping, I have always have done since I was seven in cubs.
'Helping in the community is a good hobby to have,' he added.
Mr Dent and the Downham Market Rotary Club chose the Stroke Association for the event to support this year.
