National Express chose nine-year-old Maya White's design as the best in the east of England as part of its national Colour the Coach competition.

Children across the country aged between five and 15 were asked to draw their favourite regional landmark, with winning designs printed on the side of coaches.

Norwich artist Ruth Knapp, who judged the east of England competition, said Maya was a worthy winner.

She said: 'Maya's drawing really impressed me, it includes plenty of features and colour, good skill and it really captures the landmark. Well done to her.'

Chris Hardy, National Express managing director, said: 'I'm delighted to announce Maya as the winner of Colour the Coach 2017 in the east of England. She's clearly talented and her drawing looks fantastic on the side of our coach.'
