A thriving Norwich City supporters' group is preparing for the start of the Premier League season - in Australia.

Fans Marcus Cannell, who lives in Sydney, and Mark Larwood, who lives in Queenstown, New Zealand, set up the group, Canaries Down Under, in April.

The group has amassed over 100 members who have met in Brisbane, Sydney, Adelaide and Auckland.

Giving his prediction on the season, Mark said: 'I certainly predict a much tougher league than last season. It's fair to say that the three weakest squads went down and they have been replaced by three teams with big financial backing.

'Unlike last time around, I think this season will be defined by how well we start and avoiding defeat in the first two games will be crucial. Will we finish as high as last year? Probably not.

'I can see it being much closer down the bottom, with no one team getting cast adrift and teams down there beating each other.

'Hughton has made some solid additions to the squad and whilst I feel we'd be more defensively astute, I think we're still lacking a second goalscorer - a real poacher - who can get into double figures and help Holt out. 'Midfield-wise, I don't think we've ever had as much talent, and provided they chip in with their fair share of goals I think we'll be alright.'
