A north Norfolk pub frequented by Hollywood's finest is seeking a new community-focused tenant.
The Hunny Bell in Hunworth, near Holt, was the setting for the comedy film Chick-Lit, which was launched at the Cannes Film Festival in 2015. It starred the late Sir John Hurt, Dame Eileen Atkins and Dakota Blue Richards.
The pub hosted stars and crew alike throughout several months of filming.
Charlie MacNicol of Stody Estate, owner of the Hunny Bell, said: 'We are looking for a new long-term partner with significant experience to build on the Hunny Bell's great reputation and achieve the business' full commercial potential.
'We hope to find someone who is passionate about employing local people and serving delicious food using all the fantastic ingredients Norfolk has to offer. The new tenant would have the full support of Stody Estate and, as the Hunny Bell is a completely independent pub, can take full advantage of the lack of any brewery tie.'
Previous tenants Penny and Sean Chapman left for personal reasons, and a message on the pub's website states that it is closed until further notice.
The Hunny Bell boasts an 18th century beamed main bar and its traditional Norfolk flint barn can be hired out for functions.
It is a long-standing sponsor of the annual Break charity cross-country run held on the Stody Estate.
Last February 500 runners took part and helped raise £10,000 for the Sheringham-based charity, bringing the total collected in the last 10 years to nearly £50,000. This year the run will take place on Sunday, March 5.
Chick-Lit tells the story of a group of pub regulars who pen a novel to save their local from closure.
Directed by Holt's Tony Britten, it was shot in the summer of 2014 at a range of locations including Gresham's School, the EDP office in Cromer, Holt town centre, Blakeney, Cromer and Sheringham and the Muckleburgh military collection.
Scores of locals, from Gresham students to businessmen, were involved.
