A 17-year-old boy from Belton has been charged with four offences after being stopped by police in Gorleston.
Police on patrol saw a moped with no rear lights and spoke to the rider when it stopped at a service station in Beccles Road last Friday.
A strong smell of cannabis became apparent and officers seized a quantity of the drug and a lock knife.
The teenager was arrested and taken into custody where he was interviewed by officers.
He was subsequently charged with four offences – driving with no licence, using a vehicle in a condition likely to cause danger of injury, possession of a knife blade or sharp pointed article in a public place and possession of cannabis.
He is due to appear at Great Yarmouth Youth Court on Thursday, December 20.
