A King's Lynn woman has compiled a bucket list of future cycle rides after catching the biking bug on a 54-mile Brighton to London event.

Sinead Murray, 26, from Bishop's Close, is now considering joining King's Lynn Cycling Club next year after what she called 'the most amazing experience' of her life.

The family practitioner said: 'The ride on Sunday was such a happy day. As everyone was doing it for charity it made it more special, and it was very inspirational.

'My original goal was to raise £2,000 but I think I was being a bit too optimistic, but we raised an amazing £1,012.

'Without stops it took me four hours and two minutes, so I didn't make it in under four hours which I was only a little bit gutted about.

'But I'm still over the moon. My top speed was 41.1mph, which is a new personal best, and I made it to the top of Ditchling Beacon, which is the third-highest point on the South Downs, without stopping.

'My auntie was so inspired by the event that she has booked a bike trip from Vietnam to Cambodia, and I may go with her or do some more biking. I have the biking bug. Lands' End to John O'Groats and London to Paris are on my bucket list'.

Miss Murray completed the ride to raise money for the Daisy Programme, a domestic abuse charity based in Swaffham, which she is a trustee of.
