Located on Trory Street, a cafe called NR2 has launched in what was once the home of The Kimberley Arms pub, which closed in 2015.

The eatery was opened by Teresa and Peter Carr, who live above the business.

Mrs Carr said: 'We bought the building a few years ago but recently moved back to the area as my husband wanted a project.

'We got chatting to people locally about what they felt was needed in the area and they were keen to have a local coffee shop, something other than Cafe Nero for the Golden Triangle.

'Peter did the refit and we opened about a week ago. So far so good, people have been very supportive and we're excited to be getting on with everything.'

She added: 'The building had been a pub since 1853, so I think it's really nice it's still a public place.'

NR2 offers a range of treats for breakfast and lunch, with cakes and other deli items available throughout the day.

Their menu features granola breakfast bowls, Bray's Cottage pork pies, soup, a selection of sandwiches, salad bowls as well as hot beverages, wine, gin and beer.

A range of vegetarian and vegan dishes are also available.

As well as this, customers are able to purchase flowers and various locally sourced products from the business, including Pump Street Chocolate, Crush Foods sauces and Candi's Chutney.

Outside the cafe, Norfolk artist Owen Mathers has created a beautiful Norwich-themed mural, featuring several of the city's iconic buildings including the UEA ziggurats, Norwich Cathedral, the castle and the forum.
