St George's Day was marked in style in King's Lynn today, as more than 500 children and adults took the streets for the town's annual St George's Day parade.
Scouts from 15 different groups were represented in the parade, which culminated in a service at St Nicholas' Chapel.
Kim Smith, the Scouts' assistant district commissioner, said the parade was a success.
He said: 'It was a really interactive day with all the young people hearing the story of Noah and the flood, and God's promise not to flood the Earth. St George's Day is always commemorated as the renewal of our Scouting promises.'
David Whitby, town mayor, and lady mayoress Linda Whitby were special guests at the service and several awards were handed out.
Marcus O'Lone, the Scouts' north west Norfolk district president, was presented with an award of merit for outstanding services to Scouting.
