Children in Horning showed their charitable side for a school running event to raise cash for cancer research.
Pupils and staff Horning Community Primary School laced up their running shoes for the Race for Life event earlier this month, which raised £935 for Cancer Research UK.
Dressed in either pink or blue, pupils right the way from pre-school to year six did their bit, with house captains arranging teams to decide how far each child should run to make up 55 laps.
A raffle and tombola, with prizes donated by businesses and parents, raised £590, while sponsorship for the race itself added an extra £345.
Chris Aitken, headteacher, said; 'We were absolutely delighted with the response of our whole school and the local community in supporting this hugely valuable cause. 'Our children have a really strong understanding of the importance of this, they have shown a great desire to help people and we are all extremely proud of this.'
