A new support group for people affected by heart conditions is to launch in Acle next week.
The Acle Cardiac Rehab Support Group, which has been set up by Broadland District Council, will receive its launch at the Acle Recreation Centre on Tuesday, May 23, from 10am.
The group is led by 71-year-old David Burnett, who had bypass surgery 18 months ago, and reaped the benefits of a similar group at the James Paget University Hospital.
He said: 'I've found that you feel a lot better about issues you're facing once you've spoken to someone who is experiencing something similar. Speaking to others and knowing how they manage their conditions has helped me enormously. I would like to invite others to join the group in Acle to see how this informal support can help.'
Membership to the group is free and the launch will last until 1.30pm. For information contact 01493 750907.
