A free event open to those experiencing mental health difficulties and those trying to support and help them will return for another year.

Hearing Voices is billed as listening to those living with mental health issues, and will be held in the Weston Room in Norwich Cathedral on July 5, from 2pm to 4.30pm.

Organisers promise 'a safe space for difficult discussions' and encourage people to go along and share their story and let their voice be heard.

It is hoped the event will explore the what, who, how and why of coping with mental illness.

And participants will be invited to share things that help and hinder their recovery, who has been there for them, and how they have coped.

Service providers will also be there to listen and learn, and it is hoped communities can become more recovery friendly.
