Bicycle saddles rather than saddles of lamb will be at the forefront of chef Steven Norgate's mind next month when he tackles a 100-mile charity ride.
Mr Norgate, 39, head chef at North Walsham's Beechwood Hotel, will be taking part in the Norwich 100 cycle event on June 1.
At the same time, Rachel Blake, 38, duty manager at the hotel, will be taking part in the 50-mile, Norwich 50 ride. The annual events support the British Heart Foundation and Mr Norgate said they hoped to raise £700 for the cause.
Both events start and finish in Norwich. The 100-mile route takes in a swathe of north Norfolk including Blakeney, Sheringham, Walcott, Happisburgh and Sea Palling.
Sponsor forms for the pair are available at the Cromer Road hotel.
