Many MPs in the House of Commons aspire to great things, such as reaching high office and changing government policy.
But one Norfolk parliamentarian may achieve an accolade he never dreamt of - the best beard in Westminster.
Mid Norfolk MP George Freeman is following in some esteemed footsteps - Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn, whose white beard grown over many years and is perhaps the most famous in British politics, has won the contest for every year bar one since 2011.
Mr Freeman is up against fellow Conservatives Nadhim Zahawi and Ben Bradley.
It is quite a rise for the former head of the prime minister's policy unit, who is up against some long-term beardies after only growing his facial fuzz this year.
His reaction on Twitter was 'crikey' - but he has some way to go, with less than 1pc of the vote so far.
