Visitors to Wighton in north Norfolk are in for a treat this Spring as the local village pub opens its doors once more following a complete make-over.

The Carpenter's Arms has been re-launched by Pickled Inns, the proud owners of three luxury Norfolk inns including The Black Lion in Little Walsingham.

Pickled Inns specialise in creating traditional pubs and hotels using unique interior design and cosy wood burning stoves.

For the Wighton pub, which has always been considered a working man's inn, decor includes agricultural artefacts such as a carpenter's drill and original carpenter's planes which decorate each table.

Visitors are invited to perch on Massey Ferguson metal high stools, while the wooden sides of an old haycart are used to create the entrance to a large new extension.

Once reopened on Wednesday, May 10, The Carpenter's Arms will be offering freshly prepared pizzas from a new pizza oven as well as lunch and dinner which will be prepared daily using local ingredients.

Adnams, Woodforde's Wherry and Amber Moon Gazer from The Norfolk Brewhouse will be on tap and staff will let customers decide what other beers they should stock.
