Firefighters were called out to deal with reports of fires in two properties in the Norwich area.
Three fire crews - from Sprowston, Carrow and Earlham - attended a small kitchen fire at a property in Gorse Road, Thorpe St Andrew, at about 6.30pm last night.
The firefighters were at the scene for just under half an hour, and used hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.
At 9.30pm last night fire crews from Sprowston and Earlham were called to a report of a house fire in Aylsham Road, in the north of the city.
The fire was put out before the crews arrived but firefighters helped to ventilate the building. They were at the scene for about 25 minutes.
