Country skills, animals and crafts will be showcased at the 26th Euston Rural Pastimes event.
Held in the picturesque setting of Euston Park, near Thetford, the popular country fair will feature three large show rings and a packed timetable of events.
One of the highlights of the event held on Sunday will be performances by the Matt Coulter, known as the Kangaroo Kid.
As one of the most prolific stunt riders in the world, the Kangaroo Kid will entertain visitors with his unique quad bike stunts which he performs in shows all over Britain.
Other attractions at the event on also include, scurry and trials, vintage tractors, steam and stationary engines, classic vehicles, heavy horses and foals.
In addition there will be music, Morris dancing, The Sheep Show, children’s amusements and trade stands as well as food outlets and a licensed bar.
Jane Harland, from the event’s organising committee, said: “This year’s Euston Rural Pastimes is shaping up to be the best yet.
“We will have the ever-popular flower festival, ring events, sheep dog trials, a host of vehicles on display and heavy horses, which are always a big attraction.”
The event’s Flower Festival, which will be held in St Genevieve Church, also promises to be a prominent feature.
This year’s theme is ‘Our Sceptred Isle’ and visitors will be able to enjoy the displays put together by a host of talented local community members.
Since its launch, the event has raised thousands for St Nicholas Hospice Care, in Bury St Edmunds, and five local churches
Last year’s event raised £8,000 for the hospice.
Miranda McCoy, St Nicholas Hospice Care community fundaiser, said: “On behalf of the hospice I would like to say a huge thank you to all the hard working Euston Rural Pastimes committee for ensuring the event gets better every year.
“I can wholly recommend supporting what will be a fantastic family day out, which benefits local worthy causes at the same time.”
The country fair is open from 10am until 6pm. Dogs are welcome to the fair on a lead.
