Children in Taverham were welcomed back to school with a revived garden and play area.

The formerly dusty garden space of Ghost Hill Infant and Nursery School's reception has been given a new lease of life after it was covered with bright green grass.

The school said the children were 'amazed' by the changes, which they spotted on their first day back after the Easter holidays.

The work was made a reality thanks to fundraising from the Friends of Ghost Hill and donations from local firms.

'It is a testament to the many parents and local community who regularly give their time and energy to raise much needed funds,' the school added.

They said special thanks also went to the South Eastern School Of Martial Arts, NPS, Barclays, Taverham and Drayton Lions and EA Tennis, who contributed to the project.
