A dog walker suffered serious hand injuries after she was attacked by Staffordshire bull terrier in Aylsham.

The victim, a woman in her mid-60s, was bitten at around 10am on August 11.

She was walking her dog next to a park, locally known as the cage, near Mileham Drive and Marriott's Way.

The woman in her mid-60s then intervened and suffered several serious injuries to her hands as a result.

'Unfortunately no details were exchanged and we're keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information concerning the owners.

'The victim was bitten several times causing injuries to her hand which will require further hospital treatment.'
